Seaweed Product
seaweed, any of the red, green, or brown marine algae that grow along the seashores. Seaweeds are generally anchored to the sea bottom or other solid structures by rootlike “holdfasts,” which perform the sole function of attachment and do not extract nutrients as do the roots of higher plants.
Glacilaria SP
Gracilaria is a type of red algae that can be found in almost all tropical waters. Plays a major role in the industrial and pharmaceutical fields, including in the manufacture of gelatin. Often found at a depth of more than 3-12 m.
Sargassum
Sargassum is a type of seaweed, or brown algae, that spends its life on the ocean’s surface and floats in large masses. Unlike red tide and blue-green algae, sargassum isn’t harmful.

Cottonii is a seaweed producing carrageenan that is commonly used as raw material for carrageenan industries. Carrageenan used as additives for the food, beverage, cosmetics, pharmaceutical, paint, textile, and other industries.
